DON'T LIVE HERE.... I lived in the Avalon at the Hunt Valley Towne Centre for a little over 2 years. I was the first resident to move into my unit as it was a new building. It was beautiful but cheaply built and many items broke or needed repair. The staff changes a lot - the turnover is disturbing since no one can follow through with work needed. This place is a nightmare. We've had to contact emergency maintenance 10 times in the 4 months we have lived here. The apartment above us flooded to ours and we had to vacate for 34 days. I understand accidents happen but the staff in the leasing office has been like talking to a wall. They are filled with nothing but stock "I'm sorry you feel that way" responses and don't make an effort to actually fix the problem or even adequately communicate updates. TERRIBLE. I have lived at the Avalon in Laurel, MD not even a year after it opened. Since then we have had front office changes from a full African american staff to a Caucasian staff. There has been pool parties, late night cars speeding, parties that last until wee hours of the morning, RATS and all types of bugs running around the community. Our gate has been broken a total of 5-7 times due to "visitors" that they cant seem to figure out who is doing it. My A/C has been an issue, rent raised to ridiculous amounts, parking... read more

I have lived at Avalon for 2 years now, I have only had horrendous experiences while living at this apartment. At a quick glance everything looks nice and will put tougher but after living here you can see how cheep the apartments really are. We rent a 2 bedroom and loft for $2,200 a month, fine we pay for the space but the service is among the worst I have ever dealt with. I have had multiple complaints about banging and other neighbors issues. ZERO of them have been resolved or even replied to us about. I would hands down ... read more

Avalon Mission Oaks - Placed work orders, then will close them out without completing. Have to put work orders in 3 times then contact Antonia to get something done, maybe!! Last incident was employee off duty brings about 10 kids to pool unsupervised, one kid punches another kid about 9 in the face and the father did nothing. Notifed staff and they wanted to know if I had witnesses to a child being punch. Very sad environement. One resident has three vehicles two which are inmobile taking parking from others. Very defensive... read more

I have had to deal with a new neighbor upstairs who never stops pounding on the floor when they walk. I have complained 4 times and it still continues. I've lived here 2 years and the Management has no control or balls to deal with the problem.

Employees don't stay long in one community. They never call back to discuss complaints. I have a neighbor who stays up late and stomps on the floor so it sounds like an elephant walking. office staff has done nothing to stop it. Renewed my less before Dumbo moved in, so now I'm stuck for a year.

Beware- lived at Avalon Simi Valley and medical waste was falling on my patio and the surrounding area- bloody bandages, bloody band-aids, bloody cotton balls, and an anti-psychotic pill, all found on my small personal patio. When I complained, what did they do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing they didn’t even clean the area once brought to their attention. When I refused to pay until the cleaned and resolved this issue, they launched eviction proceedings. I now have to hire a lawyer to fight these money grubbing do nothings. If... read more

Tysons Corner resident. I initially enjoyed moving in after I had been here within six months were given notice that our rent would be increasing by 200.00 for a two bedroom with 15 year old appliances and fixtures every. I ask you 2,200.00 for that? Then told we would be charged 500.00 for the common grill area even if you do not use it. If you live by the grill area be prepared to hear and smell the party outside your apartment. And the tenants can leave the gas turned on the outside grill which happened twice.
