Lived here over a yr, no problems and def love all the amenities
I've lived here for about a year. Recently had water leak in apartment above me. My walls in that area had water streaming down in three spots, drywall soaked, carpet ruined, and ceiling above showed is about to cave in. All they did was put out a floor a fan and said it would be OK. My a/c then goes out and I've been forced to sleep here for three nights so far. Its almost ninety degrees out. The Lakes of Carmel apartments staff is very disorganized and unwilling to admit their mistakes and make things right. We have to contact the office numerous times before we get anything done. Our stay at these apartments have been horrible and a nightmare. I would not recommend these apartments to even my worst enemies. Very poorly ran apartments.
Horrible, unethical leasing practices. Entire lease auto-renews without your signature or notification if you do not notify them within 60 days and the termination of contract fee is $3500, no exceptions (so if you notified them at day 59, you're screwed). They won't let you just pay for 60 days from notification. They will not help you sublet because they just want your money and there are multiple vacancies at all times. I wish I could rate this company a 0. Not once did I ever get a single thing fixed on time. During the summer months of may to October in Virginia, my AC unit went out and my electric bills skyrocketed to over $200 a month because they refused to change my actual AC unit. When I moved out because I was moving duty stations, they refused to do a walk through with us and after we moved out, we called to make sure we did not owe any money to them. I had the opportunity of visiting their apartments quite recently. They are undoubtedly beautiful and with excellent amenities & facilities.
