History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

I wanted to purchase a Ridgeline so ii wanted to compare dealerships and my last dealership was Autonation Honda Hollywood. I am very skeptical when it comes to vehicle purchasing and after being at previous dealership my skepticism got worst. However i was pleasantly surprise at the honesty and fairness that was meted out to me by Mark Roude the sales man and also the Sales manager. I had a great experience with AN Hollywood Honda. Nick Nickerson was my sales rep and Eddie the general sales manager. Maria in financing was great too. nick made the entire process far less stressful than I expected it to be and I appreciate the great customer service I've received and I am continuing to receive.

Thanks, Jason! Excellent sales rep and very knowledgeable. Has answers to every question we had. Went above and beyond to get the color car I was interested in from another dealership. We ended up choosing a different color and model, but we appreciate all the hard work Jason and the general manager did to make sure we made the absolute right choice.
