History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

Took my car in for repair, they told me it was fixed come get it. It was not ok, and it is back there today with same issue. Then the bastards had the nerve to call me on the phone , left a message telling me about deals on 2017 models and that they are going to appraise my car and that I have to call this man back... Keep waiting on that call... NOT!!
I brought my car in for 25,000 mile service. I experienced excellent customer service and attention to detail! Gabriel made my visit pleasant and was great at explaining what my car needed. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my vehicle. I will go back for service again! Thank you!
