History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

Excellent customer service. Erickson was knowledgeable, polite and told us how long we would have to wait. Treated us respectfully. From day one, when we bought our car, customer service has been amazing. I have driven in and had my tire pressure checked on the spot. Another time Ihad a problem with my phone connecting to Bluetooth and drove into Autonation Honda and the technician fixed it right the. Highly recommend anyone looking for a good car and excellent customer service to shop there.
