History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

I purchased my second car with Autonation Honda of Hollywood. I also purchased a maintenance package with 10 regular oil changes. On November 9 my car was brought in for service. When I picked up my car I noticed it has been damaged. The manager came outside and took pictures. He reassured me that my car would be repaired by their collision department. I have called and left 3 message for Brian the Service Manager. Still no repair and no call back.

Aweful. Made an appointment for oil change at 10:30 am. Got there 10:15 am. I was told 15 to 20 min. Didnt leave until 12:40 pm. Why go thru this hassle when I can drive down to the repair shop in the corner and have it done in less than 30 min.
