A small open-air French café in downtown Philadelphia? Yes. Good luck getting a seat. The menu is generally Mediterranean: hummus, olives, several choices for meat and fish, and a long list of focaccia variations. The decor is minimalist: bare white walls, stainless steel ducts, and cool green window frames. The windows are the dominant feature here. In summer, they're wide open, and a cool breeze carries the flavors from one small table to the next. Sitting here is so pleasant, it's a great place for people-watching.

Finally after hearing about the place for years my man surprised me with dinner there and a show - we did go on the early side (which I recommend) because I can see it being quite loud - our food was tasty and hot! Chicken was a bit bland but yummy nonetheless. Our server was fine not overly attentive but there when we needed him - a quick easy 20 bucks for him..... I didn’t mind the small wine glasses but wasn’t too impressed with my chocolate lava cake - a cake you would find at any restaurant. I would go back perhaps in t... read more
What a great dinner we had in this casual, cozy, and beautifully rustic BYO right off of Rittenhouse Square! The food was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful, and our server was cheerful and knowledgeable. Oenophiles beware - there are no proper wine glasses, which is a shame considering how exceptional the food is. I'd also be willling to pay more to be able to use my debit card and not have to creep through Center City laden with cash. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to a return visit! Cheers!
This was our first time there and we will be back again. The food and service were great.
Superior food, fresh, great tasting, nice size portions and a great waitress, does not get better!
This is my all-time favorite place in the City! Quaint and cozy, the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. We visited during Restaurant Week and i had the marinated artichokes which were briny and olive-oily and delightful. I ordered the papperdelle which usually comes with mushrooms but since they are marinated in butter and I'm allergic to dairy, they were gracious to substitute asparagus and arugula instead with nutty toasted sunflower seeds with olive oil and the perfect amount of salt. It was fantastic. We ended the n... read more
