Auction.com has a bad reputation with investors. Once again, I showed up at an auction in Shasta County, **********. Auction.com listed an opening bid for $290,000 for a property located at ******************************* in *******, **********. After going to the property, taking money out of the bank, getting delayed twice at auction, the auctioneer informed the investors that the opening bid was now going to be $365,900. This is false advertisement. They seem to play these bait & switch games with investors all the time. ... read more
Business response:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Auction.com is the nation's largest marketing platform of distressed properties and markets thousands of successful auctions every week. As such, Auction.com does not own any of the properties or control any of the auctions marketed. It is best to contact the foreclosure firm or trustee for the specifics of a delayed auction for a foreclosure property. If you you specific questions, please contact our customer service team at **************.
I agree that the company is unprofessional. They wanted the deposit in 2 hours and now it's been over 60 days and we still haven't closed. I will never deal with this company again.
Business response:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Auction.com is the nation's largest marketing platform of distressed properties. All seller requirements are available prior to bidding. Deposits are not typically required to be deposited within two hours. Some foreclosure auctions do require a deposit to bid as part of the state's legal conditions to bid in a public auction. Bank owned properties do not carry any such requirements or time frames. For specific questions, please contact our customer service team at **************... read more
I am a seasoned 30 year investor. This company is a terrible to deal with. I was the successful high bidder on a property. Sent in all paperwork and made my wire deposit on time, within two hours as required by them. I receive a call hours later stating they are relisting it due to "Technical Difficulties". The banks balance owed (reserve) had been met. There were other bidders and I was sent emails on what to do next as the successful high bidder. All conditions were met. $5000 Deposit was wired to title company. Then they ... read more

We appreciate bringing this to our attention. We have reached out directly to the customer to try and resolve any concerns he has. We are also more than willing to refund any wire fees he incurred during the process.
Not responsive to customers, I am the bid winner on a property since 5/21/2021! The bank refuses to close, I am on my 5th or 6th extension. Guess I'll call a lawyer. Completed: Please DocuSign: Ocwen- Contract Extension-OFR04663706-Extension-Seller-**** BOUNDARY AVE.pdf
Business response:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After review it appears this Alaska foreclosure auction included a state required redemption period that necessitated the extensions. While rare, these extensions can occur as a result of state required holding periods. Auction.com encourages due diligence be conducted prior to bidding on properties. For specific questions our customer service team can be reached at **************.
