Auction.com is unfairly investor-driven...It's too bad that the rich only want to get richer by taking from the poor. What I have found is Auction.com in cahoots with ***************** and Trustees, list their starting bid on AS-IS OCCUPIED PROPERTIES at the FAIR MARKET VALUE on properties in urban areas so they can rehab, flip, and resale or rent. When no one shows up the Trustee makes the banks believe the original auction was CANCELED, and turn around and list the same property again for at least 75%-80% less or at the va... read more

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Unfortunately, much of what is claimed is simply not how auctions work with either Foreclosed or Bank Owned (REO) properties. Auction.com is by far the nation's largest marketing platform for distressed properties. Auction.com provides a link between home buyers and the financial institutions needing to market properties. For a full and educational ****** in how auctions and the process of purchasing a distressed property works, please visit our website, or call our customer... read more
Wish it could be a negative star. Very shady and sketch business. They bid against themselves to raise the price vs allowing the highest bid that is not Auction.com win. Horrible
Business response:
Thank you for the feedback. Auction.com is the largest online marketing platform for distressed properties. We apologize that the auction process of counterbidding was confusing for you. Our website explains the process, and our customer service team is available from 7am to 7pm ** to answer any questions you may have. Basically, the process is well established, and occurs when Auction.com bids on behalf of the seller when the other bids were well below a reasonable and acceptable range. In either a foreclosure or bank owned... read more

Where do I begin about Auction.com? I have had 5 properties under contract with them. I have closed on only 2 properties due to the fact that they refuse to disclose pertinent information. They hide behind property is occupied to get away with not allowing you access to the interior. One of the properties I refused to close on, I had accidentally come across information that the property was basically condemned due to being deemed a meth and fentanyl lab. They served the occupant while he was incarcerated, yet did not disclo... read more

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Auction.com is the nation's largest marketing platform for distressed properties. Auction.com does not own any of the properties on the website, and is only under contract to market them to knowledgeable investors and homeowners. The auction pricing is typically well below market value as a result of the individual condition of the homes. Auction.com always stresses that due diligence by buyers must be done prior to placing bids in auction and being declared the winning bidder. A... read more
Auction.com customer service, bad business and bad attitude, unprofessional to work and having the child screaming and crying next to the representative and taking her attitude on the customer. What a shame who can you complain to auction.com.

I'm being charged for uttering and publishing because of a deed I was sent by email from auction.com a attached with a warranty deed stating I had to have it recorded they don't record the deed. I was supposed to close today, Sep 18, on a house purchased via Auction.com. I reached out to auction.com and the closing company on the 15th to see if closing was on schedule. I got a "we'll get back to you" response. Today, I received an email requesting a 30-day extension for the closing, taking it to October 18. Unacceptable. I do NOT recommend Auction.com.
Business response:

I was considering placing a bid through Auction.com. I am glad I read their terms and conditions. Fasten your seatbelts, read this carefully! ***************************************************************************************************(OR).v4.pdf Auction.com wants you to agree to:A) Purchase a property whose pictures....may, possibly....not even represent the actual property, at all! Specified, agreed: Pictures may not be accurate or current.B) They say, do not trespass, it is a criminal offense. Fair enough. However, ... read more

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. Auction.com is the nation's largest marketing platform of distressed properties. Auction.com always stresses due diligence prior to placing any bids or being declared the winning bidder. Auction.com also markets vacant properties where interior inspections are allowed. These would certainly carry lower risk that some investors and homebuyers are more comfortable with. For specific questions properties, please contact our customer service team at **************.
False advertising comes to mind. If the seller has a set amount that he will not go under than that amount needs to be listed for all to see. My time is valuable and I'm quite upset how this website has wasted my time! These dollar houses for auction are a scam and should not be listed if they don't intend to sell for that price. To me it seems this website has found a way to get desperate people's information by advertising really good deals for housing. But these prices are not true and Im quite upset over the whole proces... read more

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are sorry you had an unpleasant experience. Auction.com is the largest seller of distressed homes in the Country. Auction.com provides a platform where sellers and buyers can meet and conduct a mutually beneficial real estate transaction. Nowhere on the site does it say a house can be purchased for $1. While only a small percentage of the Auction.com inventory, there are houses with an OPENING BID of $1 that allows anyone interested in the auction to participate. The opening b... read more
