Corrupt and Dishonest Practices Auction.com is a truly corrupt company. During live auctions, they change the rules in real time to manipulate bidding and drive up prices.Heres what happened to me: I was the high bidder on a property, having already surpassed the reserve price. As the auction timer was running out, they suddenly added more time to the auction. A new bidder appeared at the last second and placed a bid $15,000 higher than mine. I decided not to continue bidding but instead of closing, the auction restarted ent... read more

Won a bidAudrey D .F ( according to he email address) the agent assigned from auction, com was horrible . 1. She refused to respond to my emails 2. Never sent me an extension contract and let the sale expire 3. Lied and said she sent me a cancellation when she never did . I used to love auction .com but after this unethical experience I will never purchase again from them

I recently purchased a home in **** and later found out I was unable to purchase it due to missing paperwork. The next week the property was appraised for $37000 and then it was demolished. I was shocked and wondering how this can happen.

Business response:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Auction.com is contracted to market distressed properties for banks and foreclosure firms. Unfortunately, sometimes distressed properties are removed form the sales process by the bank for a variety of reasons. Auction.com is not typically made aware of any reasons for removal, as that is part of the sales contract. This is a rare circumstance, but the risk is explained fully on the Auction.com website, and listed as part of the signed sales agreement. Auction.com apologizes for ... read more

There is a house on your website that is in the hands of lawyers working directly with the mortgage company and we demand to know how you came to advertise it on your website as you are breaking the law

Business response:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After review, it doesn't look like you have reached out directly to Auction.com about this. There is also no additional information provided by you to determine the status of any property. Auction.com is hired by foreclosure firms and mortgage holders to market distressed properties. Any direction would come from those foreclosure firms or mortgage holders. Please reach out directly to them, and when the status of the property changes, they will direct Auction.com on next steps. ... read more

This Business advertised my and Mother's home for Auction and it's still pending in the courts! I am fighting this case and they have no right to invade my personal privacy. This has caused me worry, pain and stress! This is an insult and embarrassment to me! What I don't want is my personal business leaked out to my Family and Neighbors about my Mother's home being posted for Auction by this Business! This is very evil and dirty business practices! I contacted Auction.com via E-Mail days ago and have not got a response! I w... read more

Business response:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Auction.com is contracted with the Foreclosure firms and banks to market distressed properties. It is certainly unfortunate these circumstances arrive. Please contact the foreclosure firm handling your case for proper resolution. The firm can direct Auction.com to remove any marketing associated with a property. After account review it appears you have saved and favorited several different foreclosure homes on Auction.com for bidding or purchase. If you have specific questions ab... read more
