Normally it takes about 40 minutes to get here. Friday afternoon before Christmas with rain made the drive an hour and 10 minutes. After getting 4 kids out of the car and 2 in a stroller, then waiting in line to check in we were 11 minutes late so they refused to see us. Their policy is over 10 minutes late has to reschedule.
They often change what they accept and have refused to see my child 3 times now even with appointments being made.
We moved to Rock Hill in November and the first thing I did was register my son at Rock Hill peds. They assured me several times my son was considered a patient and had their support even though they had never seen him in person yet and he’s not due for a well visit until July. I had such a horrible experience with them today. My son has a high fever for several days and I wanted him checked out. A triage nurse confirmed he needed to be re-evaluated today. Staff is always preoccupied with their own conversations when i try to check in. If i am fortunate enough to go directly to a room, I end up waiting forever to see the doctor and then rushed out of the room. Trying to resolve issues with billing is atrocious and takes months to never get anywhere with the situation. Too big for their britches and have lost customer service along the way. Staff is unknowledgeable and only redirects you to someone else who continues the cycle.
New setup is horrible. Wait times are long. Billing is slow. Calling in takes forever.
The records department which handles both RH and Shiland are horrible. Ms. Minton can't return a phone call her department just speaks right over you and beware that they may not share or obtain all your medical records all the while you think they did.
Im really not happy with the new office setup, absolutely love Dr Edwards have had my kids see her for years, only reasons we havent changed but the new offices isnt as friendly and never get back to you as. They tell you they will.
