Very friendly and knowledgeable! – I had Adam come out to service my furnace and found him incredibly friendly. His knowledge and expertise was unmatched and thanks to him I'm ready for the winter!
Do Your Homework – I have no idea how Atlas Butler is still in business. We had a maintenance contract with them for a few years - they found something that needed replaced nearly every single time they made a maint visit, yet we never had issues with our systems before their visits. Really pretty naive on our part, but we replaced several parts and spent several hundred $$ if not a thousand $$. We began hearing about how Atlas Butler was so high-priced and that the contract was a scam. After checking out a few other compani... read more
There are only three possible reasons to use these people: 1. You did not do your homework, or 2. You don't care what you pay, or 3. You are stupid. My mom and I were guilty of #1 and when we compared we found that every charge of theirs was at least double reputable competitors even with "favored status" as monthly subscriber to their "service." Speaking of which - they charge $20 a month to clean your furnace A/C twice a year (competitors run $79 specials) and rely on you to remember. My mom paid out $1000 over four years ... read more
DO NOT USE. – DO NOT use Atlas Butler for AC/Furnace repair, service or installation. They charged us 495 dollars for a part that three other specialists have told us cost about 40 dollars (a Dual Capacitor). They were here for an hour and less than a week later, it has broken again. The cost to replace the whole thing was 3x what these other guys quoted us as well. I'm now hearing lots of poor reviews about Atlas and their extra high rates. Wish I had asked around first.
WARNING! RIP OFF! – HORRIBILE RIP OFF... My wife had AtlasButler come out because our AC unit was not working... they charged her $369 for a "dual capacitor" and $369 for a "contactor" and a $89 diagnostic fee for a total of $827!! After seeing this bill I called to multiple other HVAC companies and was quoted $200 by Big Walnut Heating and Cooling and Sears Home Services. Both places told me that each of the parts that were replaced are less than $20 parts!! I called Atlas Butler and tried to negotiate my price down to see ... read more
UNHAPPY "Client"! – In the Spring of 2010, I had scheduled a air conditioning cleaning and check out pursuant to my Service Contract. The technician was to arrive at 4pm, but I wasn't called until almost 5pm to say he was on his way, so I rescheduled for the next day at 4pm. The next day, again I wasn't called until almost 5pm to tell me he was on his way. Then when he arrives, he proceeds to tell me that the flue pipe to the furnace, which has nothing to do with the A/C operation, needed to be replaced because it was unsafe... read more
Friendly, knowledgeable, prompt – We called Atlas Butler when our outside A/C unit died. They arrived promptly, when scheduled. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem, and had us up and running in short order. He also cleaned the unit and did a system check up. We were impressed with the service, and signed up for their service plan, which came in very handy the next time they came out, for a different issue. The techs are very personable, and we felt very comfortable having them in our home. Something you can't say ab... read more
Great Service – I have been using Atlas Butler for a couple of years now to service our primary home and rental property. Not only are we on a maintenance agreement for all of our property (luckily no major issues due to regular maintenance), but they also have done duct work cleaning as well. They have always been prompt, professional, courteous, and priced right. My mother has been using Atlas Butler for 40 years, if that says anything.
Happy Homeowner – I have to say I have been so pleased with Atlas Butler. We signed up for the routine service plan and within the first week we had the furnace completely cleaned. The service tech was here for about 5 1/2 hours and even though our condo is only 6 years old it definately needed all the cleaning. The thing I liked is that he gave me tips on how to have my furnace run more efficiently and didn't try to sell me something. Generally that is what has always happened with other contractors. Last month we had our A... read more
