RecommendedMy experiences with Aspirus have been Excellent. My most recent visit was the emergency room. I was admitted right away; the stitches that I needed were painless (and I'm told look great too; any scar that I might incur will be minimal); they lent me their phone and dialed it for me, so I could let my supervisor know what happened. They were very accommodating. I like Aspirus.
The billing department is absolutely ridiculous! They can’t keep your payments straight at all, let alone your accounts! I have 6 accounts and they have no clue why! They threatened me with collections but I have a $600 credit! Because they didn’t apply it to anything! And don’t even try asking for a supervisor because they are just as rude!

Luck of the draw on ER Drs. If you get a bad one you're done for. I've only known of 2 good Drs on staff and they ran one of them off. They don't respond to any criticism or complaints and if their Drs screw up they cover it up instead of dealing with them so we get better care. The people in the Keweenaw of the UP deserve so much better care.
horrible communication between doctors. do not recommend.
They can improve by having more receptionist to help people. We stand inline for an appointment 15 min early for you. We are late to Dr. because of wating in line so long. Of course Dr. runs late then and it all snowballs for the rest of the day. If only you would fill those empty desk with people who can help.
From ER through Palliative my father was treated with respect and compassion. The doctors, nurses and CNAs took time to listen to him even when he wasn’t making sense. They didn’t complain about our large, loud family basically moving in to dad’s room for a week. They went above and beyond to make sure we also had our needs met. Beautiful facilities, compassionate staff...thank you for your care.
