My visits have gone well enough, but I have issues with her staff. I had labs done over 3 weeks ago and got the results online, but no one called me about them. Now my pharmacy has notified me that my doctor declined to authorize a refill (which may pertain to those results). This isn't the first time they've neglected to contact me. Furthermore, this is a maintenance medication that requires slight adjustments which could be done over the phone (as with a prior doctor). Instead, Dr. Ralph wants me in for a visit each time, ... read more
Generally poor
I have been a patient of Dr. Ralph for approximately 3 years. She always takes the time to listen to me and if needed, she will recommend the best available specialist in the field that I might need at that instance. Jamie, her assistant, always follows up on my referrals and lets me know as soon the Health Insurance has approved it, then, she will then relay the information to Dr. Ralph. I feel that I am receiving excellent care from Dr. Ralph and her team.
This physician lost my health care power of attorney! No explanation, just lost it! Amazing. She refuses to speak to patients on the phone; her assistant says, “That’s just her policy “. Good luck getting her assistant to return any messages you leave.
Rushes through appointments; has medical students perfor most of the exams and she isn't even in the room while it's done; she doesn't perform complete exams (no prostate check during yearly exams); Dr Ralph has a policy whereby she does not speak to patients on the phone so the unfriendly assistant, April, is your communication person -but she never returns messages; it took her office a full month to send me a one page document; calls are disconnected frequently while waiting on hold; etc.
--If you want bunch of medical students feeling you up most of the visit and an actual doctor to to breeze in for maybe two minutes, Dr. Ralph is for you! --Her medical assistant does not return calls and is really rude if you are lucky enough to actually get her on the phone. Dr. Ralph, flat out, refuses to speak to patients on the phone, for any reason.
Dr. Ralph was instrumental in helping me get diagnoses that have eluded me for ten years. She didn't dismiss my symptoms as anxiety and just give me drugs. She sent me to the right specialists to help me. She's friendly and seems to care. Her PA Amber, however, has been just awful to deal with. She used to be nice enough, even though her lack of interest showed through. But now she's downright rude and fully disinterested. I would switch doctors because of her, but I really like Dr Ralph.
Not very impressed--she seemed more interested in getting in and out of the room quickly than anything else. Staff was sullen, as well.
If I could leave less than a star I would. Her and her staff is incredibly unprofessional. I would steer clear from her office.
