We purchased a King size mattress for over $3,000. We were told in person by both the sales person and the manager that we could return it within 30 days. In less than a week we decided to return it because it felt like we were sleeping on a piece of plywood (it did not feel like that in the store). 25 phone calls later, my husband finally got in touch with someone that said there are no returns. He went to the store and found out that you cannot return it like we were told, you could only exchange it for something that is the same price or more. Of course, they didn't have another one that was more comfortable for the same price so we had to pay an additional $1200 to get another one that may or may not be comfortable. We will never buy anything from Ashley again.

While I like the furniture, the one leg of the chair was not assembled correctly leaving screws exposed that could scratch my floor. They called me about my concern when I reported in on a survey and left a number to call. Well placed on hold for 20 minutes so I hung up. Called the store and customer service lady was rude when I told her about the wait. Explained that she had to wait 30 minutes when calling her doctor! Was told I would get a call in 2-3 days. That never happened. Finally chatted online with a representative. Told I would receive a call which I did but they were initially speaking in Spanish which is not my primary language and never identified who they were. That went nowhere. Husband called...on hold for 40 minutes. Again, said we would get a call. Again, automated call from unidentified source speaking in Spanish initially. Told no service appointments available by automated call. Put on hold again to speak to a person who I eventually reached. Next service appointment in over 5 weeks. Really? So, they will meet you at the door to sell you furniture but if you have a problem...they hide behind an automated system. Horrible customer service! And the person who assembled the leg on the furniture could have hardly missed the problem. Sloppy job.
