The staff at Ascension St Vincent South treated my mother horribly. She is elderly and was very sick, but this did not prevent nurses from neglecting her for hours on end and not responding to her calls for help. They would not allow us to stay with her at night due to Covid, but she actually contracted Covid from nurses who treated other Covid patients and brought it to her. This location is nothing more a strip mall urgent care that charges as an ER, due to their affiliation with Ascension Hospital. I went there during urgent care hours for a very minor injury, and got billed as an ER visit at 10X the cost without consenting to the "upgrade.". Had I known, I would have walked out. There are so many things that they are unable to provide treatment for, it amazes me that they are legally able to call themselves an ER.
