He had me on so many mood stabilizers. That it caused my heart to go into a fib. He started me on the highest dosage of Cymbalta! I’ve got a new psychiatrist that was shocked that he had started me at such a high dosage! I’m doing so much better After I stop seeing him! Other people you you really need to talk to other patients ex employees. He is so busy when I first started going he only had an office in Lewisville! Then opened a Second location in Denton! Now he just opened up another location in flower mound! He has APN’... read more
I would not recommend this office or doctor to anyone. We loved seeing the nurse practitioners but not Dr Asad Islam who owns the practice in Lewisville and Denton. Sadly the nurse practitioners whom we were seeing for the past four years have moved on to greener pastures. Dr Islam failed to refill our son's RX for sleeping meds during his appointment and then never did so following multiple calls and messages to his office. Our son has not slept. We are going on 5 days without the RX as of
We were referred by another physician and met with the doctor for 7 minutes. Subsequent appointments were with an assistant. The appointments are always 5-10 minutes. Rescheduling is a challenge at best. Phones are not answered, calls are not returned (when you can leave a message, as the mailbox is usually full). Prescriptions are allowed to lapse and the patient nor the pharmacy can get critical prescriptions refilled.
This is suppose to be a professional practice however I see little proof of that. These doctors prescribe drugs, so why are they using poor blood pressure monitors. The Mayo clinic & The American Heart Assoc. recommend ARM CUFF monitors because of their accuracy. Both of these reputable companies state that wrist cuff monitors have a tendency to produce high readings yet this office bases important decisions on what drugs to give you based on these false readings. Why would ANYONE accept that?
Dr. Islam is the best psychiatrist I have ever found! I have spent years searching for a psychiatrist to not only prescribe the correct combination of medications for my symptoms, but to actually listen and spend time with me. I would highly recommend Dr. Islam and his team at North Pointe Psychiatry!
We went for my father 's treatment there and he treats him best
Very judgemental I never go out my way to be rude but if u go in with add be prepared to be something else when u walk out with a hand of scipts. U don't need smh. Random people could tell but not a doctor im convinced that these are not real doctors but the girls at the front desk are nice
Dr. Islam is the absolute worst psychiatrist I have ever dealt with. He never seemed welcoming. He refused to listen to my concerns when I told him I no longer wanted to take the prescribed medicine and he refused to consider a change in diagnosis after a second opinion was decided I was not fit for the current. He was very rude and made a comment that offended me and I will never go back!
