Not Impressed – My 1st appointment with Dr.Walia lasted all of 20 minutes and I was given a diagnoses of Bi-polar and written a couple of prescriptions. How can someone be given such a diagnoses on a 1st visit with out any prior history....? On my second visit I arrived about 7-8 mins late, I left a message letting them know I was on my way. However when I got there Dr.Walia had already left for a "lunch meeting". Since he was so "busy" it really made me wonder about the care would have received that day. I was charged an $8... read more
Rather condescending – It is impossible to get a live person (Crystal) to answer the phone and likely she will not return the call that day. They do call to remind you of your appointment the next day, but she waits until you have less than 24 hours to cancel, so you will be charged. He is very punctual. I would switch if I had the time or inclination.
Excellent care, on-time & professional – I was so glad to find a doctor who cared, was informed and up to date on current meds/illnesses. He has been very valuable during my pre-pregnancy & pregnancy times. I don't feel rushed in his office, yet he manages to run ON TIME. This is the best care I have recieved in Austin. I have recommended him to several friends/family and they love him as well. Crystal is a gem, and though you have to wait for her to call you back, it is a small price to pay for a great doctor. Decent but not the best – You'll be lucky if your call is returned by crystal the same day. Most o f the time it will be several days later. Also, its extremely annoying to have to leave a message for absolutely everything, there is no way of getting in touch with a live person when you call, you'll have to wait until you recieve a call back.
Wonderful, caring and extremely intelligent doctor... – I have seen two other doctors prior to coming to Dr. Walia. He is exremely professional, listens to your needs and treats each patient with care. He actually is reachable as he returns his calls promptly and has an assistant that returns calls and is wonderful as well. I would highly recommend him after visiting several other worthless doctors. He also has the best assistant, Crystal. Go see this Doctor!
