This doctor is too tight and strict on taking care of his patients. He is more about his "company policy" than his conscience of taking care of those in need. He DEMANDS they be on time and no matter what the circumstances even if you have a broken leg and can not drive or your father dies - if you do not keep your appts with him, he will drop you as a patient. Great doctor – Dr.Walia is an awesome doctor. He is always on time,takes the time to listen,and tries to keep medications to a minimum. The length of Awdreygore's review alone shows she was manic when she wrote it and it appears that she has serious mental illness. I agree with the bipolar diagnosis that Dr.Walia made and I hope she gets some serious help soon.
At ease, attentive – I began seeing Dr. Walia after moving into town from Houston. I had serious problems with my previous doctor, so I was incredibly nervous to begin seeing a new doctor. His staff was wonderful and always answers the phone when I call, he is considerate and understanding, ensuring my medication is doing what it is supposed to. Cares more about money than his patients unfortunately – that says it all for me
Awful – Was a patient for the better part of a year. Walia seemed eager to please my insurance company by spacing out appointments at four-month intervals, eager to cover any possible liability issues in his practice (at the expense of quality of care). Patient well-being, on the other hand, seems the least of his concern. Let me serve as a cautionary tale – I saw Dr Walia in late August of 2008. I found him because my primary care physician was no longer comfortable treating my extreme anxiety and depression. Within 15 minutes of meeting me, Dr.Walia declared I was a bipolar, type 2. No diagnostic tests, just a shallow discussion wherein overshopping, insomnia and overeating meant hypomania. Great Psychiatrist – Dr. Walia is a great psychiatrist. I was very impressed with him and his staff. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Walia is the best psychiatrist I have found in 15 yrs – Dr. Walia is excellent!!! Extremely professional, caring, prompt and very good listener. I had more then enough time with him to have all my questions answered. If you are not improving he is the Dr. to see.
Dr. Walia May be Great, but his Office Staff Scared me Away – I have heard great things about Dr. Walia, but my experience with his staff is one of the worst I've ever had so I decided not to pursue an appointment with him.
