Dr. Malik and staff were professional and efficient. I had confidence in the results of my exam and tests.

Dr. Malik is a wonderful, intelligent, and caring doctor. I’ve been to MANY specialists of all types, and talking to me like I matter goes far these days, especially with so many that pass you off to another doctor. My first GI visit and colonoscopy/endoscopy ever was in May, and he was very informative, gentle, and kind. He actually shows compassion for what you’re dealing with & does his best to figure it out. I have complete faith that my issues will be in the past sooner than later.

I have been a patient of Dr. Malik’s for over three years. I appreciate always being able to get an appointment to see him without a long wait. He and his office staff do an excellent job of providing me with health care. I would highly recommend his practice to all.

Treated like a client rather than a patient. They try to sell you endoscopy and answer your questions without great care.

Business response:

Due to HIPAA I will not discuss specific patient care. I would like to point out that I do my best to educate my patients on the reasoning behind my recommendations and if that includes testing I explain why. Ultimately I believe decision making is best done as a team of patient and doctor and not me as the sole decision maker. I would like to clarify that tests are not required as indicated in the review. We are focused on getting our patients feeling better and not increasing our fees.

It has taken me over 2 years to write this. I am only going to post facts. Had a EGD by Dr Malik, he dilated a stricture then sent me home. I needed up back in the hospital with a perforated esophagus. After all that was said and done I ended up in the hospital again and had to have a 2nd major surgery for infected lung tissue from the perforation, feeding tube, chest tubes all of it. I was left with: Debt, PTSD & Insomnia, The stricture is back, Frequent lung pain, numerous lung infections.

Business response:

I understand and respect any patients' right to voice their feelings regarding their experience with my practice. Thankfully complications are not common, but are a possibility with any surgical/invasive procedure. I sympathize and understand that any complication is one too many for the patient experiencing the issue. In 20 years of practicing gastroenterology I have had only a handful of complications, which is well below the accepted rates of complications reported by ASGE.

Outstanding doctor and staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for pre-op bariatric needs or diagnosing health issues
