Contractor quoted a fair price for a PM annual check and service for my generator for $150. Tech showed up, did the PM work, but noted an electrical switch was bad. He stated the part frequently goes bad. He had the small (2") on his truck and changed out the part. Labor time spent on changing the part was about 5 minutes. He prepared the bill and asked for the credit card to pay for it. I looked at the bill and he charged me $170 for this electrical switch.
