This place is terrific and i really like it here. the staff is great and so is the food. Gooray!! lksajd
Good Enough! – great 'neighborhood' italian place. by neighborhood, i mean one of those old-school ny charming type places which seem to be dying out in manhattan. the owners (a husband/wife team i think?) are really sweet and also put a lot of love into this place. great care is chosen with the wine list and while the wines are a bit pricey seem to be an upscale option if you are into that sort of thing. i always go for the sunday night dinner $25 3course italian feast. just went this past sunday, tomato-garlic soup, delici... read more
Great! – Aroma is one of the best Italian Restaurants I have ever been with the difference that they really make you feel at home. Excellent Wine Selection, Ask the waiter for recommendations, It's just WOW! The food is exquisite, and the desserts are amazing..
Warm, elegant treasure of a place! – I arranged a dinner at Aroma for 10 colleagues who traveled in from Europe and the night was an absolute pleasure! The atmosphere is beautifully rustic, warm and elegant. Service was attentive, gracious and friendly. The food was exquisite. I heard praises all around me at the table with each bite taken. The wait went out of their way to take photographs for us, standing on top of chairs to make sure everyone was in. The evening was so smooth and my guests were truly satisfied. I highly r... read more
Wonderful birthday celebration – It was exactly as we had planned and so much more! The food as well as the wines were absolutely fabulous. All of my guests were so impressed that a few have already called asking when we can return. The room was cozy, intimate, and spacious enough for everyone to move around and enjoy themselves. It was truly an amazing event and a perfect way to celebrate an important 30th birthday. I will certainly be back again soon.
Still in shock – I am still in shock over my recent experience at this restaurant. I wish I could have reviewed the food, but we didn't even get that far. Upon being seated, we ordered a bottle of wine and after tasting, all 4 of us at the table thought the bottle was"off". Our server and the Sommelier came to our table to tell us there was "nothing they could do", and "it was supposed to taste like that" and "this wine was only meant to be had with food".. Never in my life have I had a restaurant be so argumentative, and re... read more
Good wine and dessert, but just okay food – I've been to Aroma twice. Both times I enjoyed the great wine selection. For dessert, I had the homemade assortment of sorbet - refreshing, tasty, like nothing I have had before! But the pasta on both occasions is just bland.
great pasta the pasta here was fantastic. the bartender was also very helpful in picking out wines.
Wonderful, tasteful, and intimate – For first-timers, I?ve been to Aroma a handful of times and here?s my take on it? The restaurant is small & specialized, that?s the beauty of it. It?s ?family boutique? in a way, and all about personal touch. It?s got one of the most inventive and economical uses of space in the city, contributing to the intimacy and warmth of the place. Eating there IS an experience. Steaming little glorious plates of fresh pasta and appetizers with accents like truffle oil and gorgonzola seem to mysterio... read more
