Too many words can describe this place. But the words (and a multitude of synonyms) of love, warmth, light, and support should suffice. :)
The staff here are kind and genuine but totally inexperienced at navigating between their role as healers and the vagaries of corporate and insurance company "policies." Therefore, they can end up hurting you very badly and will then just throw up their hands because it's "policy." Being a professional, especially in human services, means knowing when to set aside policies and dogma and carefully plan, massage, defer, and lubricate so that clients are always protected. Be very careful before enrolling in this program.
This place does a lot of good for a lot of people with limited resources and absolute kindness. The negative reviews here do not resonate with me at all and I have completed a few partial hospitalizations and IOPs here over the years. The groups work wonderfully if you show up, try to engage, and follow the rules. This place has saved my life more than once.
