We purchased 4 trees from *****, 2 died within a year. When I contacted ***** to let him know he immediately accused us of not watering the trees. He asked no questions or offered any suggestions in fact he never offered any sort of effort to resolve the issue. He simply threw out various accusations and insults before ghosting me. I cannot stress enough, NEVER, EVER, EVER buy from ***** *******.

***** the owner refused to honor their one year guarantee on all plant material. He refused to return phone calls or emails when I wanted to discuss a problem I was having with one of the trees they had planted. This wasnt the case when I reached out to make a purchase. My experience is that ***** is incredibly rude and difficult to work with. I think his philosophy is the customer is always wrong and at fault no matter what. I wish I had read some of the other reviews as they are pretty accurate. Long story short our impass... read more

Great to deal with at time of purchase, not so later on. Purchased two Autumn Blaze ****** and two Prairie Dream Birch's summer of 2021. The top third of one side of one of the Birch's didn't come back this spring. Contacted Arbor Hill, he said to give it some time might come back. Gave it a couple weeks still didn't come back. Contacted them a few times more but difficult to get him out here. Came out earlier this week without calling, cut out the dead part of the Birch send an email saying what he did and that it wasn't a ... read more

We purchased an Autumn Blaze Maple and. green Mountain Sugar Maple at a very decent price. We had a bit of a scheduling issue - my fault as I went out of town. Was rescheduled quickly without issue. Delivery was prompt and trees are gorgeous! The crew that put the trees in were wonderful and very respectful of my property. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and highly recommend. A++!

We purchased two deciduous trees and eight evergreens over twelve feet tall and one evergreen ten feet tall. That was in 2006. Every tree survived and all are still alive and are HUGE. One maple was hit by lightning seven years ago and survived to thrive.

Whoa.... our association asked for 3 trees to be planted and received an estimate. Due to costs, obviously not Arbor Hill Tree Farm's issue, we decided to only have them plant 2 trees and asked what the difference would be from the initial estimate. We received this response from a Jerry: "Great. I love indecisive people. Second estimate costs $100" WHAT???? From an 'A+' BBB rated business???? Thanks but no thanks, we'll find a business not so rude.

At first, Ed was responsive and easy to work with. Unfortunately things changed quickly. Many of The plants he put in died, his crew left dirt and mulch in the middle of the street for us to clean up, the landscape pavers he put in were just thrown on the ground with gravel poured on top. He gave me a quote to put a stairway in but it only went halfway down the hill - we paid more for him to finish the job but his crew tore up our grass and it was still unfinished. When asked for a refund he became defensive and attempted to... read more

Terrible customer service. Our Association had 2 pine trees planted side-by-side by Arbor Hills which were watered exactly as instructed. In Fall 2018, I called Jerry and Jerry's son to let them know 1 of the trees had died and still under warranty. The son said they would be out to replace it "soon" and when we hadn't heard anything after 6 weeks, I called again and owner "Jerry" scrutinized the watering. I said the 2 trees were watered the same (per instructions) and 1 tree did not make it. Jerry was irritated and very gru... read more

Business response:

This person is a third party that has 0 knowledge of the care and watering of the healthy trees we provided or the care of replacement trees. Trees are replaced one time. Unfortunately inappropriate care and watering will cause failure of trees multiple times.

Late last summer as part of a new construction project we purchased four 8 foot Black Hills Spruce Trees from Arbor Hill Tree Farm, which came with a one year warranty. Two of the trees did not survive the winter, and we want them replaced. When the trees were planted, we were given care instructions which we followed. However, we did not log dates and the length of time we watered the trees, and can't remember the exact directions we were given 10 months ago, therefore, our warranty is being denied. What we do know is that ... read more

Business response:

The warranty on trees is not unconditional. When the trees are planted we give specific information on how to water and care for your trees depending on type of tree and soil type. How much water and how frequently. When a customer makes a request for replacement trees, we ask them to give us details on watering and care since trees were planted. After caring for a tree for an entire season, watering on a weekly basis, it should be an easy question to answer. The response we received by email from this customer was she did n... read more
