Happy with my hair!!!! – I started going to AR salon a couple months ago to correct a hair coloring that went wrong when I decided to do my own coloring to become a brunette. My hair is naturally a blondish brown color. I made an appointment with Arthur. I should say he is not only a great cutter but also a great colorist. I love my hair now and I get asked all the time if this is my natural hair color....which is great... :) And my hair shines beautifully each time after coloring. Snooty & not willing to listen – I chose AR Salon because of its fantastic reviews. First of all, no one ever sat down with me to talk about my hair. My stylist, Sam, basically asked what I wanted, and when I tried to explain exactly what, he looked bored and cut me off. Then he insulted my hair. Then he proceeded to give me the weirdest haircut ever. After I explained that my bangs were too long and they need to be shorter to do what I want them to, he argued with me and refused to cut them. So relieved... – After several disappointing and very expensive experiences at 2 other major NY salons, I was very nervous about trying yet another new hairdresser. But after reading great reviews, I made an appointment with Mark at AR, and my only regret is not finding him sooner. The salon is tiny and nothing flash, but everyone was very friendly with zero attitude which was a pleasant change. Marvellous! – Go to this salon RIGHT NOW!. You will look great, guaranteed. ARTHUR will make your hair color look fantastic and will take years off your age. Plus, he's funny and a pleasure to talk with.he will give you a great cut and make you feel ready to tackle the hippest clubs. Your style and color will last a very long time (months) and you will probably go back to the salon sooner than your look requires, simply because you miss the atmosphere. BEST HAIRCOLOR IN NEW YORK – I WALKED IN TO THIS SALON NOT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT THE PLACE, I WAS GREETED BY ROGER WHO WAS SO KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT MULTI DIMENSIONAL HAIR COLOR THAT I DECIDED TO HAVE MINE DONE. ROGER WAS METICULOUS IN CREATING THIS COLOR FOR ME, HE TOOK HIS TIME AND ACHIEVED A GREAT COLOR FOR ME. talanted – The staff is super friendly. MARK is very talented, confident but down to earth. He will listen to your thoughts and make a suggestion - Then before you know it he's made your hair come to life. what a patient, methodical and talented hairstylist. he has a sweet personality and makes you feel comfortable. he's not scissor happy but he knows what he's doing!!! he'll work on your hair till it's perfect. You'll feel like and look a million bucks once you've experienced MARKS talents!! I love HIM

ar hair salon has complit package – If you are looking for a reasonably priced, fabulous cut and color, look no further than Sami at AR hair salon. I discovered Sami over a 2 month ago when I approached a stranger on the subway whose color I admired. She led me to Sami . best hair stylist ever – My hair has always been difficult. I went from salon to salon telling stylists the cut i thought i needed. These ideas would come from pictures in magazines, cosmo, movies etc., and time after time, the cuts i got seemed to me to be the same thing, that is, i didnt feel pretty... i am amaised – i called the salon at 11:30 am on a monday as a first time client and was able to get an appointment with Mark at 1:00 pm that same day. I had not cut my long and very thick, rather unruly hair in a year and I can honestly say he gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had in my life. He seemed to intuit my needs and understood exactly what I wanted, even though I wasn't entirely sure what that was until he was finished.
