Fantastic hair color – I've been going to Suite 303 for nearly two years and couldn't say enough good things. I love the way it's hidden away in the Chelsea Hotel. Great music, unique space and a lovely little outdoor balcony. It's a very special place and group of people. Heather does my cut and color and she's amazing. Love My Hair!! – I love going to Suite 303! It's fun - everyone is so nice and I always get an amazing cut and color. Heather is a great stylist. She always listens to me and knows exactly what I want. I like my hair so much that I asked Heather to style it on my wedding day and it was "hot". I can't think of a better way to spend a relaxing few hours and chat with lots of cool nice people.
Love my colorist/love my color – I don't typically write reviews but have had such bad luck finding an excellent colorist that I had to share the news that Heather is Fantastic. So often you find a colorist who only sees your hair and your style in one dimension but Heather always knows how to tweek my color to make it look new and fresh every time. A complete disgrace to the Chelsea Hotel – If this isn't the single most overrated and overpriced salon in the entire city I dread discovering the one that is. Nackie, hang up the shears and take up an apprenticeship for a while. After a very promising discussion about what I expected I left with an abysmal cut that only became more unmanageable with time. Do not go here for color – Horrible color. I had blond hair and came in to have my roots touched up. I left with a head of brown hair. The hairstylist, Nackie, told me that she could tell I really wanted brown hair. What I really wanted was what I asked for.
Best cut and color next to a fireplace... – Trust is a big issue when it comes to hair. you shouldnt allow just anyone to mess with the part of your body that is most visible to the world year round ... I love April Barton's Suite 303 – While my ex-pat fellow Brendan Behan had already established himself as a gifted writer before taking up residence at " The Chelsea ", if I didn't reside mostly on the west coast, the alluring exciting atmosphere at April Barton's Suite 303, would have take a room, just so I could be close to the most fun hair salon I've ever been in. Don't bother – Oy. The eternal quest for a consistent colorist continued at Suite 303. I decided to check out this place because it's in the Chelsea Hotel and that's where my beloved haircutter lives (he doesn't do color). When I walked in it was like a big party. Music, grilling, tons of people. Everyone was nice to me, but in the end it seemed like my colorist Nackie was more interested in eating lunch and talking than in the way my hair was going. Awesome Underground Hair Salon – This salon is truly an oasis in the middle of Manhattan. When you arrive there, it feels very exclusive as it is inside the Chelsea hotel on the third floor and there is no sign. But when you get off the elevator, you can hear the music blasting from down the hall and when you walk in, it's like a party. Everyone there is so nice and talented. April, the owner, is a master at her trade and seems to go into a trance when cutting your hair. Not to mention, her portfolio is more than impressive ... read more
