Not impressed. Discriminatory. – I was very interested when I read the other reviews here, because they matched my experience. I was quote $95.00 for a haircut. It somehow magically went up to $115.00, plus tax. I asked for a receipt, and, like the other person who reviewed here, the 'reception' got angry, and scribbled something down on a napkin! Best extensions ever ever ever! – first of all, I have worn extensions for years, and everyone always tells me to take them out, until now. I LOVE SUITE 303 – Yes, it's the best experience I've ever had at a hair salon and I want it again. I need it! I miss it! I have to have it! Where hair styling is an art done by artisans – Having spent several years as a 'hair model' -- a horrifying thought I know -- I am quite 'particular' about my haircuts. Best Cut and Color Ever! April Embraces the Gray – When I went to see April for cut and color, it was her decision to "embrace my gray". It was a scary thought but I went with it. I couldn't believe how not only painless but fun the process has been. With high lights and low lights, I now have an amazing color that only needs touched up every 3 months. You don't always get what you pay for! – On my first visit to Suite 303, April cut my much-neglected hair into an easy-to-manage, face flattering style. My subsequent visits were far less satisfying, and on the last one, April seemed disappointed that I wanted my hair shorter and I left the salon with a 'tail' a la Florence Henderson from the Carol Brady days. Great place wish we lived closer! – I am wondering if the folks below are talking about the same salon here? My partner and I were in New York for business and needed some pampering, so we went to April's salon. Wow! The crew here is AWESOME! So sweet and not uptight by any means!! Just Wonderful – I found everyone at Suite 303 to be very friendly and accommodating. In such a busy and trendy hair salon, it's good to be able to communicate your needs while there. Getting to know the person servicing you is a plus in this crazy world. April and the other stylist are true artist and when you choose an artist you have to really love and appreciate what they do. I will go back there the next time I'm in New York.
Once good, not so much anymore – I have to agree with the previous reviewer who was disappointed with Steph. I had similar experience. The first time, April came around and was all over the cut, fixing it. The second time, April stayed away, and the end result was a mess. Steph is very nice, and overall good, but I get the sense that she's not there yet-- definitely not worth the price she's asking. And as with previous reviewer, my cut was also unbelievably uneven.
