Fantastic! – Let me just say - Nick is FANTASTIC. I won't go on and on, but i'll just say, if you want a top of the notch haircut, definitely book an appointment asap. He's super great, and really nice and accommodating too. He even helped me pick out shampoos after my appointment! When in hair-infused doubt, call Nick. That's my new motto. I so totally suggest you follow suit.
High end hair salon with a relaxed vibe – I love this salon! great combination of high end service and a relaxed vibe. They serve lattes and give great head messages during the shampoo but there is zero attitude. They also always run on time... no waiting 30 mins for your appointment. I go to Brian who is fabulous. Awesome – I used to hate getting haircuts. No matter how nice the place, I never really left feeling happy. That is until I had an appointment with Nick from Antonio Preito. Before he started he spent time getting to know me and my lifestyle and before I knew it gave me a cut that was perfect for me. Not only did I leave loving the way my hair looked, it grew out wonderfully. Everyone at the salon is so nice and helpful, I can?t wait to go back!
Excellent Salon in Chelsea – haven't had cut or color this good in ages! Nick gives me great cuts that get compliments! and Kristine is colorific! i love that they listen to my thoughts and also offer their own ideas. (longer? bangs? curls? blonder? redder? more highlights?) the entire staff is always pleasant. they seem to run a tight ship, i don't think i've ever had to wait more than 2 minutes. highly recommended.
Lawrence: simply brilliant – i had been getting my haircuts from Antonio for years, but always felt non-committal toward the colorists there until one day I accidentally book Lawrence and was completely mesmerized. Best apprentice program in town – Like most people these days, I'm trying to cut back on expenses. So I decided to give the apprentice program at Antonio Prieto a shot. I had my color done by Jill, and boy was she amazing! From the moment I sat down in her chair she seemed to know exactly what I wanted. NOT recommended.....especially for color! – I am amazed by the good reviews for this salon, since my experience was the complete opposite. I have had my color done at many of the finest salons in NYC. (Sharron Dorram at John Freida, Wonderland in the Meatpacking district, Simadi salon and several independent colorists, to name but a few. Finally! a place I can return to – I've lived in NYC for 3 years and haven't been a return customer to any hair salon....until now. Best kept secret in Chelsea! – I love Antonio Prieto! It's not only convenient ie. in my neighborhood, but Nick Antiaris cuts my hair with sass, style and just the way I like it. He listens to me. And then he delivers! And Kristina does my color - she is funny, personable and does a great job on my color. She listens to me too. Plus it's a hip, fun environment but still totally professional.
