I love this family style seafood restaurant. The Lobster roll=AMAZING:)
I was in State visiting my Mother and she recommended. I ad the fish chowder and 2 - 2 pound lobsters. The lobsters were cooked to perfection , the corn and red potatoes were awesome. I would highly recommend. One thing that seemed odd was that their was shrimp in the chowder. I was hoping for an authentic all New England Chowder and while the shrimp was good and fresh it seemed out of place in an old fashioned New England fish chowder. Prices were reasonable. Staff was great. Had fun and bought a hoodie as a keepsake.
Best seafood I've had in years. Everyone was very polite.

My husband and I went to Anthony's Seafood yesterday for lunch. This was our second visit. The service was fast, courteous, and clean. We ordered the Portuguese fish chowder. It is to die for! Lots of fish, shrimp, scallops and chorizo ,in a creamy broth. Next we shared a large whole bellied fried clam plate. The clams were perfectly cooked a golden brown and not greasy at all.The fries, we're the same. We love this place and try to come every time we are in Newport!
I tried the fried clams, lobster roll and spicy stuffed quahogs. I would recommend all of them. This was my first visit and I can't wait to go back!
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. No frills dining with the best food. Had the Mega Meal with mussels, clams and lobster. Cooked perfectly. Wife had the stuffed sole which was also perfectly prepared. If you are in Middletown/Newport Rhode Island this is a must see/do restaurant. The Portuguese Chowder will make you swoon it's so good.
Had calamari, stuffie, lobster roll, and grilled seafood casserole. It was so bad that we didn't finish anything and no one even checks on you. No love in this food!
Best lobster I have had. Their New England chowder with hush puppies were great.
