The food and service was outstanding, we will definetly be back on our next trip to Newport!!!
The swordfish is always excellent. The portions are really large....go hungry!
Portuguese fish chowder is the best. The best fried clams on the island.

Ate there on Monday evening with four friends. Between five people, we couldn't find anything that didn't meet or beat or expectations. The chowder was fantastic. The fried clams were outstanding. Service was helpful and attentive. Even though we were there well past their closing time, no one rushed us and they were happy to answer any questions we had about their food preparations. Good was very good. I highly recommend the tuna steak sandwich and the Portuguese Fish Chowder. Service was very broken up, a group of 4 and we all got our food at different times. Yes it's a tourist destination but still makes for a negative experience. Overall we will go back.
I love fried oysters!! They were delicious and you get several for your money -- fish tacos husband not a fan of -- too much extra stuff in them !! Price of food great -- clam chowder very good !!
Fish over cooked, very greasy Chowder had large clumps of glop in it Like big flour dough balls Lived here all my life, ate here many many times Very disappointed !!!
This restaurant was highly recommended by the Bed and Breakfast we stayed at. My husband and I were visiting from out of state for the weekend. It is a quick drive from Newport. It was a nice family friendly atmosphere. There were a variety of beverage and food choices. I had the steamed clams and a lobster. My husband ordered the scallop platter. We enjoyed our visit. My only wish is that we lived closer!
