A wonderful place to walk the trails and see the poppies spread all over the fields.

There were many people visiting the Reserve on Monday. The weather was great for walking, however the poppies were not as lush as many expected. 2010 was the year they were absolutely gorgeous----the year they had snow! The Reserve area didn't get that much rain this year---amazing they got bypassed. However the trip was well worth it----the colors blend so nicely and as the day warms up the poppies open up and the color orange is everywhere! Go for the ride and visit!

Beautiful place. Make time to enjoy it. Not far from here is the Neenach Cafe and Market and Gas. Takes care of the hungry hiker...

It's a beautiful open area. The super clusters are way to the right side trails. Make sure you bring plenty of water & sunblock.

Once in the vicinity of the fields, where every year you can witness the poppies flowering, you start to climb one of the many trails that connects between them. This permits you to reach the top of the hills, which offers a breathtaking view. The view goes to infinity until it... read more

The earlier you can go, the better. It gets quite crowded. Beautiful sight though, worth going out of the way a bit for.
