We had a great time! It's very nice. Just a little crowded. So if you want to get pictures get there early!
Have been here many times, usually during week though. I thought this year because of rains, there would be an abundance of flowers...but not so much. 45 minutes of waiting in car to get to top of hill for parking....I guess other people thought there would be lots of blooms too. So if you go on crowded day and can walk hill, park below on Avenue I and walk it. Enjoy and don't pick the flowers.
It was a beautiful place to be. Can't wait to go back soon.
Get there early, the line to get parking lot can get very long. Many people park on the street and walk the 1/2 mile in. It is well worth the walk now that the poppies are starting to bloom. I would say they are at 70% now, in the next few weeks expect a poppy explosion!
We never had the chance to make it into the Reserve. So many cars were lined up to get in and the wait was long. All in all I loved the experience of being on the outside and looking in.
