Beautiful wildflowers in bloom. Perfect weather. Get there really early if you don't want to get stuck in a traffic jam at the gate.
Very peaceful hike around the reserve. I arrived early (around 9am) on a Tuesday during spring break. It was not too busy. I spent about 3 hours walking around. It is very beautiful. By the time I left at noon, the lot was full, cars were lined up all the way down the road and people were walking in from the street. I recommend going early morning if you want some alone time - plus there is absolutely no shade so by noon it was starting to get HOT. I went later in the afternoon and it was beautiful however earlier in the day would of been much better as a breeze came up and the Poppies slowly began to close. Bring lunch and enjoy you self very beautiful but hurry got a feeling they will be gone soon
A short car-ride from Santa Clarita, this was an amazing experience for me and my son. Incredible colors and easy hike through the park makes it an enjoyable experience.
No snake sightings, no wind . Cool temperatures and the poppies were wide open. All that made for a perfect day 🌺
