Food is as good as it has always been.
Took us like 45 minutes to get our food and they weren’t even busy. My mom tried to buy a whole pumpkin pie to celebrate my granny’s birthday who died in 2009. And the server said the manager doesn’t allow that which makes no sense. The waitress said if we came back the next day the owner would probably sell us a whole pie. When Tex created Annie’s he had Paper Armadillo Graphic Design Studio do the ads and the art work for the menu. The late great Arthur McCash did an painting for the original menu and I wrote the ads and took a picture and had the poster done which still greats you behind the cash register. Paper Armadillo was a fun interlude between my 25 year state water planning career and my 32 years of KTWU joys. Chuck Bradley, future major NOTO pioneer with Yeldarb Gallery with wife Ruby, and Susan Twemlow were the other partners.
Best cheeseburger in town!
Went for my daughters 18th birthday. That’s what she chose to go. I ordered the roast beef waitress comes tells me they are out. I choose something else. She come and asks me again what I wanted because they were confused. I showed her again my order comes out and there is sausage on there. When there should be pulled pork and ribs. At this point I’m assuming the sausage was put on there in place of pork because there was hardly any. So I asked her she said that’s the portion size. Breakfast at Annie's Place was delicious! I had the breakfast quiche which came with a cup of fresh fruit and I had a side of bacon. It was all hot and delicious. The service was wonderful and welcoming as well.
Came for dinner Saturday night, introduced a local to the place as he had never visited!! This is my favorite place to eat in Topeka. Any time I travel from Kansas City, this is where I come. Always a pleasure and can’t wait to come back again ❤️
Great food amd even better service! First time I went there was today and I will be returning soon!
