The Animal Emergency Room (A.E.R) is an emergency and urgent care facility that was established in 2000 by Dr. Danette Schweers. The A.E.R works with the local Veterinarians to provide superior emergency care. The Animal Emergency Room provides excellent emergency and urgent care by serving as patient advocates, counseling and educating each client, while finding personal fulfillment by exceeding our clients expectations. We are open overnight from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am during the week and 24 hours weekends and holidays.

No idea why anyone would recommend this place. My dog died a few hours after leaving here. They won't let you be with your pet during any part of the treatment. This is not due to COVID. I was told my dog did not have a seizure while in their care. A few hours later, at a much better vet I was told that was incorrect and she did have a seizure. RecommendedRich and all the staff here at the Animal Emergency Room are the best. Hands down. Last week 8/14 my Labrador crossed the rainbow bridge as we expected of old age. Friday 8:30 pm I called another animal hospital in very close proximity and they left me hanging. Called here and Rich said he got me and would even keep an eye out on my truck to attend to me as soon as I pulled in. He sure did. They returned my dog in less than a week. took my lola in for breathing problems. the minute we got there they rushed her to the back unfortunately my lola passed away but they let us have all the time we needed with her. today we got her ashes and we thank the staff for being so nice ..
On the way to another vet clinic I was informed that they had a couple of critical surgeries so we got bumped back, but luckily found this place & I'm so very grateful I did! Their amazing staff from the moment we walked in to check in to when they had to tell me the not so great results made me feel like they were our vet from when he was just a puppy..
The staff was extremely friendly and kept me well informed every step of the way. I felt comfortable and they helped with my pet quickly and efficiently. They quoted everything before performing any services. I also witnessed them handle some extreme cases and give advice over the phone. It is a little odd to not be in the room with the pet during procedures but I completely understand why they do it.
I want to thank the staff of Animal Emergency. Our baby boy passed in their facility yesterday. Despite the pandemic we were still given the opportunity for myself my husband and son to say our last farewells. That meant the world to us. We are forever grateful. We love you Rupert and will miss you so much.
The staff at Animal Emergency Room are fantastic. We thought that one of our dogs had eaten something toxic and every single employee was awesome to deal with from the minute that I called until we left. It turned out to be a reaction to an insect sting but without them, I would have been worrying non stop. Last night my 5 year old Belgian Malinois started seizing which is something she’s never done before. We scooped her up and rushed her to AER where we were met by the awesome staff. We were brought in and my girl was immediately seen. They were able to get her hour long seizure under control and showed outstanding compassion during the ordeal. While we don’t know what caused her seizure I am eternally grateful to the folks at AER for saving my girl and pulling out all the stops for her medical care. I work with sick and inju... read more
