Dr Illig does not care about how you feel but will tell you how you should feel based on his diagnosis. He contradicted my surgeons recommendations and they both work for AOS. He set my rehabilitation back 2 years because of his " smarter than you" policy Best thing I ever did was to dump him!
Dr. Illig listens to his patients and never rushes through appointments. He listened to my problems and gave me options always considerate of insurance. He never rushed to do a procedure without checking to see if it was covered by my insurance as I waited!! That had never happed to me before and I felt comfortable doing a procedure knowing it was covered by my insurance. He was also very personable, with a great bedside manner. I would definitely recommend him!
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Illig to a friend. He explained every procedure before and while he was giving patient care. I went for being in a tremendous amount of pain to 90 percent relieved. I cannot say enough about the staff and their professionalism.
Dr. Illig is what I like to call a thinking doctor who listens to the patient's complete medical history and problem-solves rather than just treating one specific issue at a time. Often they can be related. He was always attentive and instilled confidence, particularly important during procedures! Would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends and have.
I could not have asked for, nor received better care than Dr. Illig provided.
