This dual eligible VIP Care plan in PA is absolute BS!!! I've reached out to 6 eye care places that are listed as in-network to get contacts & none accepts mine. I was given an additional 3 places listed on Davis Vision website by Amerihealth customer service & they DO NOT TAKE MY INSURANCE! What's the point of giving $575.00 to cover contacts when ur providers list is WRONG? I may as well switch back to separate Medicaid & Original Medicare. I can't get the care I need. Nobody is ever open for behavioral health, so you might as well look elsewhere. Also, the owner doesn't care about you, blue cross blue shield has often allowed me to go without treatment because they didn't find my condition serious enough (i.e not dying. even then, im sure they wouldnt even look at a dying person in the eyes.)

Amerihealth Carita is the most incompatent , rude, dishonest, decieving, inhumane group of public service workers, from the members services department to the rapid response, to the pharmacy specialists, to their pre authorization department, I've been dealing with life threatening health issues since June, I've been lied to hung up on numerous times, and they do not offer confirmation numbers for encounters, so you can only report people by the first name and last initial, so whatever name they give you that's what your wor... read more

Customer service fails to answer questions, will put you on hold for extended times and put you in the queue to avoid answering questions. Just overall terrible service, are rude and I can’t fathom why and how companies like this can continue operate like this.
