Service was really nice, and hotel was updated. The room on the other appeared to be updated but was dirty. Floor was sticky, pillows had stains, bathroom doesn't have vent, and the room flet wet. When we arrived the ac wasnt in and dehumidifier was full.

Stayed in the end of July, first room we got had a wet bathroom with hairs and puddles of water in the tub and a puddle behind the toilet of water(?) with more hair in it, the ceiling was dripping with water like someone had showered in the last hour or so. (We moved rooms and the other ceiling was not wet, nor the floor or the tub so it was NOT “humidity” like they tried to tell me. I’ve had my basketball team stay at the Americinn in Ames the last two summers as we competed in a camp at Ames High School. The accommodations were awesome, clean rooms, helpful staff and they did a great job taking care of my team. Excellent breakfast in the morning as well. We had a nice comfortable stay. Our room was clean. The hotel lobby was clean with a nice sitting area. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, gas, and close to activities. The is plenty of parking space and in a safe location. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating in our early check-in which we very much appreciated.
