Horrible experience at the door. Sorry for being on time. Annoyed I was there because they had appointment at 1130. Yet they didn’t know or even ask because guess what, I was the appointment. But made me feel like I was there for free snacks and juice. Yeah I’ll keep my blood.
I had an appointment to donate platelets but then had to check my blood for platelet count first but couldn't give me the results today. Last time they did it right away.
They did a blood drive at my church, and I wanted to donate blood. I’d donated before without problems. First they claim my iron is too low and have to stick another finger, leaving me with a band aid I have to wear on each of my hands. Then they reject me just because I got a vaccine last Wednesday. I went through all that effort for absolutely nothing, only for them to not want my blood. Three people died today because they couldn’t receive my blood. I showed up 15 mins late for my appointment as I drive across town during rush hour. They turned me away as they rushed me out the door. Last time I ever go to the Red Cross.
