I had a fantastic experience donating blood today. Everyone was very kind and professional, my appointment started right on time, and the selection of snacks was great. The staff took wonderful care of me when I started feeling dizzy mid-donation, and made sure I had everything I needed once I was done. I will be coming back to donate again at this location when I’m able :)
My husband went for the second time to donate blood at the American Red Cross in Worcester on Saturday, April 25. He donates using the Power Red method because he has O negative blood. The staff member who assisted him was friendly at first. He set my husband up on the machine and then left him there while it was running. After about 25 minutes, my husband started to feel pain in his arm and called for help.
