Made an appointment, they called to confirm it, spent all my lunch break navigating the hospital just for the location to be closed. Doors locked, lights off, no explanation. It’s disrespectful to my time, and it’s sad because I was excited to give blood. Oh well. The staff in the hospital were very helpful though.
This donation center is currently (April 2021) located on the second floor, between the gift shop and the entrance from the 4th avenue garage. The staff are friendly and efficient. No issues with my donation today.
Very pleasant experience! I've donated blood at quite a few places and through different programs. The Red Cross is one that can very easily turn into a machine with no compassion or care. This location was very much the opposite, there were only 3 employees present today and each one was very kind. A special thank you to the young man who was there today 01/27/2022 at 2pm.
