I would give them 0 stars if I could. I paid my **** (~$2,000) today 5/17/2022 because AMR has been unable to successfully submit payment to my insurance since December 21, 2020. All of my other hospital bills from the same day of service were successful, except AMR. My lawyer's office has reached out to them numerous times over the past year (>10 times, don't worry - I have receipts) and been on the phone for hours to resolve this issue, and yet AMR has remained incompetent. I am paying it now despite the fact that my insur... read more

This company has been a nightmare to deal with in trying to pay my deceaced sister's bills. You are on line for over 25 minutes waiting for ever call and then the reperesentative has no ability to assit you or even communicate clearly about invoices or find invoices. I have called 8 times trying to resolve bills that they sent with amounts that the insurace company clearly stated is the maximum contracted amount. Clearly this company needs to get a billing service who can provide competent customer care.

Business response:

Please feel free to reach out via email at ************************* for further assistance.

I have been receiving a **** from AMR for the transport of a patient from hospital to adult ****** care. The patient and I both have the same names. I'm fairly certain the patient did this intentionally as this is not the first time I've received legal correspondence meant for the patient. I live in ******. The patient lives in *********. I have called AMR 4 times. Three times to their "customer **********************" and once to a local AMR provider. The ** is in the frickin' ***********...I can hear roosters crowing and d... read more

AMR has been giving me the run around for months. They ask more questions than they answer and do not return calls when promised. Don't you think the need for an ambulance in one's life is enough stress? Steer away from this company unless they're the last ambulance in town and it's a matter of life or death. I've give zero stars if I could.

Business response:

If you have any concerns regarding your account, please feel free to contact us at **************************

My mother is not a well person, over 80 years of age. She's been to the ** a number of times due to stroke, heart issues, mental confusion and more. Yet, ******** and her secondary insurance denies payment because of improper coding. In her case AMR has made it a practice to code her ambulance trips as "medically unnecessary" in an effort to get the patient to pay cash because they don't like the predetermined dollar amount insurance pays. In every instance I have had to fight with AMR to get them to properly code. In those ... read more

Business will balance **** you even if your insurance processes them as in-network - beware.I went to an in-network hospital for an emergency (husband drove me there) and was transferred to another hospital soon upon arriving. AMR is charging $2700 for the 30 minute ride. Insurance agrees to process it as in-network since I went to an in-network hospital, but says the service charge should be $2200 for this service. AMR is charging us for what insurance didn't cover in that $2200, plus the $500 discrepancy/balance ****. Was ... read more

When AMR is non-contracted the patient is responsible for unpaid portion. We suggest you file an appeal directly with your carrier if you feel a larger portion should be paid. If you would like to discuss payment options, please contact customer ********************** at ************.
