The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the AC worked well other than a real rough sound when the compressor kicked on. The beds were EXTREMELY soft. Probably the softest bed i have ever been in. The breakfast isn't very good at all but there is a restaurant located very close that had a decent breakfast.
The hotel is fine, you get what you pay for to be honest. It’s pretty clean, a little outdated, but that is to be expected. There are TONS of large spiders on the outside of the building, but we didn’t have any problems inside. The location is fine, close enough to Houghton Lake, although we were going to Higgins (which is much better in our opinion).
Replace towels everyday but pillows are so worn out theyre horrible to sleep on
Great time @ American inn while staying for a company event. Pool area was clean and service was great!
Not on the lake. Access is close though. Front desk staff could not be nicer. Nicest ladies ever!
