I joined the AFT in 1973, so have been a member for 45 years, almost half the length of the organization's existence. During that time, I have watched AFT fight for workplace protections, student rights, civil rights--everything we believe in. The AFT's philosophy of democracy in education and education for democracy just about sums it up.
AFT is there to support our members and fight for our students rights! Union Proud!
During my 25 years in the classroom AFT led the national fight for resources and funding to support the work we did for our kids, schools and community!
