My husband and I love coming here to work out. Out of all the gyms we have tried, Am Fam has the best deal and best equipment options. The only things that are a little frustrating is some of the front desk girls are rude, the hot tub is dirty, and the kid zone we had a few bad experiences.
We love this gym. But it does get frustrating when we call to make an appointment 24 hrs in advance for our daughter and are told there are “no more spots” left for a certain time frame. When we want to attend group classes, this causes us to not be able to attend. I thought the point of scheduling 24 hrs in advance was to ensure there is sufficient staff and never in all the years we’ve been members have we been told there are no spots left for a time frame. Love this gym! Specially the benefit of bringing my kid with me! worth what it costs
As a former college athlete and career Marine and having been a member since to their second year, I can attest that AmFam Fredericksburg is an excellent fitness center. It is truly full-service and offers excellent classes, Physical Training, circuit training, certified nutritionist, great 24 hour pool, and a highly professional management staff. My boyfriend and I dread going to this gym (we usually go to the one in Virginia center commons) this gym is very outdated. The rope for the handle attachment needs to be replaced,the weighted rope and the bar weights are in horrible condition and need more weight options. I will say, the staff is very friendly.
