Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I have been a customer for 10+ years and have spent tens of thousands of dollars at this store. I returned a top that was too small, immediately reordering the same top in a larger size. They decided that it did not look like ALL tags were intacked/ it looked worn (as all of their clothing is sold to look like), so they refuse to refund my money. This top was immediately put back into the bag and returned. They would rather lose a customer, than refund me for a $60 top. What so... read more

Disappointed in AE customer service and returns dept. I returned 3 items and 1 item was sent back without tags when the flip flops never had tags they were just in a bag sealed up. They were put back in the sealed bag to get returned. Return dept denied it. Then I have been waiting 3 weeks for a pack of earrings that never got shipped! I have to now wait 14 days to get a refund? Why? It says 48 hours on your website. The package never got shipped and the label was created.

I ordered a matching pajama set and a few other items all got sent to me separately and the the pajama pants that got sent were the wrong size. I emailed customer service and they said they could not send me new ones until I sent the wrong size back and the then they were completely out of stock so I spent my time gas and money to return my items to get absolutely nothing out of it and lost money in the end. I would give them a zero star if it were an option. American Eagle continously mails out used untagged items that are missing all or part of the tags then the consumer has to be on high alert to call wait on hold to report it. Otherwise they will try to blow smoke up your ear and say you can't be refunded bc no original tags per policy. I placed an order for a bra on February 4th 2026. The cashier messed the address up so the same day I called customer service. They said they placed a note and assured it’d be sent to the correct address. Now it’s next month package was lost and never delivered due to incorrect address. I called customer again to get a refund and replace the order. Guess what, they messed the address up again. Instead of “Room” they put “Run”.
