Their name should actually be "America Last Credit Union". Absolutely worst finance company I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with about 6 others. Their customer service is awful and usually entirely unhelpful after you spend hours on hold to speak with someone. Or you could request a callback and cross your fingers you actually receive a call. Amazing customer service and great accounts. I've been a member for about 5 years now and these folks have always done everything they can to help. From the tellers to the branch manager, I've never had a bad pr even neutral experience. They always go above and beyond.

America First is horrid!!!!!! I have used MACU for years, but just got a used car loan that America First picked up without my option. Trying to set up my online account and mobile deposit through their app has been a complete NIGHTMARE!!!! It has been weeks and still not working, and the customer service trying to get help is terrible. I hate this credit union!!!! Go to MACU, they are amazing.

There customer service team put me on hold for an hour then said they couldnt help! Biggest waste of time! Other credit unions and banks are so much easier to work with! Dont get an account here!!

I was told I was approved and send all requirments **** and tax return and they denied it saying they could not verify my income. My wifes credit score over 800 and still denied. I feel profiled and denied on good payers really upset me! They need to be fired and take back my credit hit since this is a profiled decision! They could have done my wifes creidt onlly and we are not even asking for a lot!

America first is the worst credit union/bank I've ever dealt with and I used to be a ***** Fargo member. Long story short. I called to complain I could not receive my money. They inform me I had outstanding balance (in which I was homeless and searching for a job) then tell me they have tried to contact me about it (only through them telling me they have overdraft charges through those stupid letters you get charging you $25 every time) when I tell them no they haven't called or anything they said well it's not out fault (ye... read more

What has happened to my beloved credit union???? I have been a customer for 25+ years, it is my long term checking/savings hub, have had all loans serviced and touted America First to friends and family as a great institution. Today my impression is shattered. I called to do a wire transfer only to be told my funds have to be in the account for 10 days in order to do so. I had a gap of 7 days to proof insurance for my new loan and this CU charged me ****** dlls even that I Sent them proof they never returned my money. The customer service over the phone usually took me an hour or more to answered. I call the dealership to report this matter. I was able to move my carloan to BofA to 1% less then AFCU never had a terrible experience with any credit union before. Never again I will alert all my friends and family in my social media about this credit union.
