Like the growers in the local community garden and the Amaranth plant -- which originated in South America and is now considered a super-grain by many -- were largely transplants to the Walnut Hill Neighborhood, we too are transplants recognizing the value of a shared community identity. Sooo sorry it took us so long to discover this AWESOME place. Bakery like none other, soo fresh!! Friendly, attentive service. Did I mention the rye bread!! To.Die.For. Will definitely be back!!

Our favorite place to eat lunch. We love the soups and the savory brioche, and our favorite sweet treat is the kouign amann. We also love the fellow patrons we get to connect to there. There's a strong sense of community and goodwill when you walk through the door.
I truly enjoy the atmosphere here. I appreciate what Dave and Stephanie are doing in the community. I can sincerely say that Amaranth is a hub for positive communication and change within this neighborhood.
