Like the growers in the local community garden and the Amaranth plant -- which originated in South America and is now considered a super-grain by many -- were largely transplants to the Walnut Hill Neighborhood, we too are transplants recognizing the value of a shared community identity. Mind blowing soups, bread, and they have WiFi.
All I can say is wow!!! Dave and Stephanie are pastry all stars as well as staples in the commmunity. Fresh bakery and a eclectic clientele. Fresh bagels are now served on the weekends that rival New York. Dare I say " the best bakery in the city" Hans down.
Amaranth Bakery donated baked goods to the meeting I attended this morning which was definately appreciated and kind. The baked goods were soooo good! This was my introduction to the bakery and I've been won over! My office is nearby so I'll be coming over for lunch someday soon!
I need a sixth star ;-)
The only problem with amaranth is too many great things to choose from :-) such a gem in our city!!
