A friend of mine and I dined here because it was recommended to us. It started off wonderful with really good service, the best salsa I have ever had, and fabulous queso. We were very excited to get our food but when it came we were very disappointed. We both got a combo with one enchilada and one tostada. The food was pretty bland and the tostada shells were soggy. Our server was very nice and apologetic and even offered to get us something different, but we declined and just ate the salsa and queso.
The restaurant was packed when we arrived at 8 PM. Despite the full house, we received quick and attentive service. The food was flavorful and well prepared. Probably the best guacamole I've had at a restaurant. And our creekside table made for a great atmosphere.
Great food seating on the patio next to the river
My wife and I had dinner on 7/6/18 and we noticed the menu has been drastically down-sized. My wife said the food did not taste the same as it always had so we can't rate the restaurant excellent anymore. We have been coming to Amanda's Fonda for over 10 years and I wonder if the ownership has changed. The menu no longer has a Question and Answer section where it was mentioned that there is an Amanda.
Excellent food, great service the outdoor patio overlooks the creek that was beautiful. We will be back
